We have been thinking about purchasing some very cheap re-usable tote
bags to make available at the library for folks who need a bag to carry
their books home but who don't want to shell out $15.00 for the deluxe
heavy-duty canvas bag that we currently sell.
The level of bag I am talking about would be probably be comparable to
the ones that Whole Foods is about to start selling for 99cents in lieu
of using plastic bags for your groceries. I noticed that JC Penny's now
also offers a similar tote bag for $1.99.
I have two questions:
1) Are any of you already providing something like this?
2) Would any of you be interested in getting together to
purchase some cute bags like these with a kind of generic library
message on them? If we design something really cute and appropriately
generic then more libraries could use them and we could get a better
price for them.
