We do not charge for our ILL service. Here in Hillsboro we have always gone with the philosophy that ILL is a service that we can provide to our patrons that greatly expands our collection. After all we are in the business of providing books and services. I believe that ILL is another service that we can use to influence support in the community for the library. People love getting "Free" services from the City. It works well and covers us when they do not pick the materials up--not very often now that they have paid to have it. We have a person currently that is getting items that require a special fee beyon shipping. that also was passed on to the patron who was glad to be able to get the materials.
