I am sorry to report the passing of the husband of Mt Calm Library Director Nancy Franklin. Johnny was a wonderful man and a great support to Nancy. My thanks to Faye Nichols in Gatesville for this information.

Robertson DRT Chapter Treasurer, Nancy Franklin, called me this afternoon to tell me that her husband, Johnny, died Friday. Even though Johnny had been quite ill for the last few years and was in the hospital at the time of his death, it was a surprise. He had been in and out the hospital so many times the last couple of years that they just thought it was another round of pneumonia and he would return home as he had done numerous other times. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. at Mexia Cemetery Wednesday. Blair Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia is in charge of arrangements: 254-562-2131. The family has asked that if you give a memorial it be to the organization Of your choice. Both the Mt. Calm Library and DRT are important to Nancy.
