Subject: [syscon-tx] Update: TSLAC Announcement of Service Outage
The Texas State Library and Archives Commission earlier announced that there
would be a server outage from 5pm Friday, Sept. 19 through 8am Monday, Sept.
22. At this point, it appears that server disruption has been prevented.
Our network equipment has been connected to a generator to supply power
during this power outage. However, if there are any problems with the
generator, the following State Library web domains will be unavailable:
* www.tsl.state.tx.us
* www.texshare.edu
* www.libraryoftexas.org
* www.texasheritageonline.com
We are monitoring these sites, and if there are difficulties we will correct
the situation as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: Libraries that access the TexShare Databases through one of
these websites will *not* have access to these resources in the event of an
outage. We regret the inconvenience.
Libraries that maintain their own TexShare menu pages and portals will
continue to have full access to the Databases.
