In response to patron requests, we are considering adjusting some of our
check-out periods, currently set at 2 weeks for everything in the
library. Specifically we have been asked to allow longer check-out
periods for long books (over a specified number of pages or hours for
audio), and we have been asked to shorten the period for best sellers to
one week to speed up transfer from patron to patron. We would be
interested to hear if anyone else has variable check-out periods for
different types of materials.
