The College and University Library Division of the Texas Library
Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Scholarship Award of
$1000.  Detailed information about the award, including the specific
guidelines and application form and instructions can be found on the TLA

The scholarship qualification, application form, and evaluation process
has been changed from previous years.  The scholarship is open to anyone
who is enrolled as a graduate student at a Texas ALA-accredited library
education program, is a student member of TLA (costs $25 annually), and
plans to focus on a career as an Academic Librarian in a college or
university setting.

 

Applications will be evaluated by the following criteria (more details
on web page):

*Demonstrates commitment to academic librarianship in a college or
university setting. 

*Demonstrates good written communications skills. 

*Applicant's likelihood of continued involvement with TLA and CULD. 

*Demonstrated success and progress in pursuit of the library school
degree *Financial Need
