We use better world books and book prospector.
With BWB, you scan the book, they tell you if they will take it or not, they
supply boxes and postage. They want you to wait until you have 6 boxes to
ship. They sell the books, hopefully, and you get a percentage in either
cash or credit with Alibris.com with payment after it reaches $100. You can
track your sales online.

With book prospector, they tell you how much they will give you for it and
you either accept or decline. We have gotten $0.13 to $17 for a book. They
also supply postage but you supply boxes. You can ship one box at a time.
They send a check I think quarterly, and you can also track your sales
online.

Subject: [ctls-l] Where to sell your books that didn't go in the book sale

Just in time for the upcoming weeding workshop, PUBLIB had several entries
today on sites for selling books online.

www.betterworldbooks.com <http://www.betterworldbooks.com/>

www.bookprospector.com <http://www.bookprospector.com/>

www.bookrecycler.org <http://www.bookrecycler.org/>

www.powells.com <http://www.powells.com/> and click on "Sell us your books"

The process looks simple enough: register with the site, then enter the
ISBNs of the books you want to sell. You will be told if the book is needed,
and what they will pay.

If any of you have experience with these or other sites, please chime in.

Thanks.

Laurie
