Pat, I don't know if you got any replies to your question yet, but I wanted to
let you and the other members know that Robert Williams, the good folks at San
Marcos Library and I have just settled the details on a "Wireless Hotspots in
Libraries" workshop you might be interested in:

Wireless Hotspots in Libraries
Presentor: Robert Williams of STLS
Location: San Marcos Public Library
Date: Thursday, May 27 2010

This is not on Eventbrite yet, since we just finalized the details today. But
if you let me know you are interested I will make sure to tell you once we get
it posted.

Robert Williams made this note:
"...we'll talk about policy issues in making wireless available, and how to
force wireless users to a splash page that includes the "terms of use". If you
want to see one of our members' better ones, we're hosting it on our website:
http://www.stls.lib.tx.us/hotspots/gcl/
Users inside the hotspot have to click the I Agree button to have wireless
access.)"

Thanks all--

Subject: [ctls-l] Wireless access Splash Screen

Has anyone developed a splash screen for your wireless patrons? We would
like the wireless users to see that they have accessed our library
connection and accept our policies. Any pointers on how this might be
accomplished?
