Subject: [texshare-users] Correction: Review Licensing Rules for
TexShareDatabases

From time to time people contact us regarding the database
licensing agreements we sign with vendors on behalf of the members of
TexShare. The questions usually regard copyright or who authorized users
may be.
The reverse situation occasionally happens. Sometimes we learn
that institutions that are part of TexShare may not be aware of the
parameters of the database licensing agreements we sign on their behalf.
To review:
Who may use the TexShare databases?
                Authorized users:
For Academic libraries and K12 public school
libraries: currently enrolled students, faculty and staff in addition to
walk-in patrons or visiting scholars on all campus locations.
For Public libraries: library staff, registered
users in addition to walk-in patrons while on-site.
For Libraries of clinical medicine as defined in
chap. 13 TAC 8.1: current employees of the institution which is served
by the library, registered users of the library and authorized on-site
patrons of the libraries.

Eligibility information can be found here:
        http://www.texshare.edu/generalinfo/about/eligibility.html

It is critical to understand that the TexShare databases are to
be used solely for personal, non-commercial use.
