Listed below and attached is the application for the TLA District 3
stipend for attendance at the 2010 TLA Annual Conference in San Antonio
from April 14-17, 2010. This is the third year of the award. It is now
two scholarships of $300 each per the vote of the membership at the 2009
District 3 Fall Meeting. 

Texas Library Association District 3 Conference Stipend Application 

This award of two scholarships at $300 each is to help pay the
registration for attendance at the 2010 Texas Library Association Annual
Conference. District 3 librarians, paraprofessionals, library school
students, and volunteers are encouraged to apply for this award.

Letters of Reference 
To complete the application process, secure two letters of reference
from someone connected to your place of employment, educational
institution, or library of advocacy. Two letters of reference must
accompany the District 3 stipend application to satisfy the
requirements. An incomplete submission will be eliminated from the
review process. Please read carefully, sign, and date. 

If selected as the winners of the District 3 Conference Stipends for the
upcoming TLA Annual Conference, I agree to all the following
requirements: 

Apply the $300 stipend toward the registration process. 
Attend the District 3 Caucus Meeting at Annual Conference. 
Submit a report evaluating the conference, stating whether it fulfilled
expectations, and what was learned that can used in the recipient's
library or university. Report must be typed and submitted to the
District 3 Conference Stipend Committee Chair within 30 days of the end
of the Conference.
