The Texas State Library's Small Library Management Training Program is an excellent series of classes in which new librarians will learn plenty about their new profession. I recommend it highly to new directors and assistant directors.
Please see the message from John Cecil below and sign up ASAP! You will meet neighboring librarians and get help from both the presenter and the attendees. Tocker Foundation funding is available for travel expenses AND for substitute help in keeping your library open while you attend training. We are pleased that one of the locations is in Waco.
