Hey guys - Don't forget that CTLS and the State of Texas are sponsoring
three workshops on "Helping Library Patrons Look for Work" - March 23rd
in Schulenburg, March 24th in Hewitt, and March 25th in Liberty Hill.
Flyers are going out this week, but you don't need to wait...

Go to ctls.net, scroll down the red tab on the right hand side, and
select the date and location you want & register through Eventbrite.
This is an important topic and we received generous funding from the
State of Texas to bring in an excellent trainer, Dana Lee, to present
these sessions. If you need a workshop stipend to be able to attend,
just let Eric Lashley at Georgetown P.L. know how much you need (i.e.
tuition or tuition plus help with travel costs).

Subject: [ctls-l] Job search help

Along the lines of Donita's question about libraries pulling together
job resources, here are a couple of websites from an article in LJ's
January 2010 issue on job help.

Berks County, PA has put up a site that might give you some ideas on
adding a job section to your website:
http://sites.google.com/site/berksonlinejobsearch

The State Library of North Carolina has some information on this site:
http://jobsearchtoolkit.pbworks.com
<http://jobsearchtoolkit.pbworks.com/>

If you have good ideas to share, please let the rest of us know.

Thanks.

Laurie
