We are in the same boat.planning for a new library, with circulation desk out in the open, so I would like to hear comments as well - what you like, what you don't, etc.

Perhaps you have heard - Lake Travis Community Library is building a new library! We are now working with our architect to design the circulation desk and I need your help. * What do you like best about your circulation desk? * What would you change if you could? * What height is your desk? * Where do you keep your books on reserve? * Are book carts kept behind the desk to organize them for shelving? Our new circulation desk will be circular (not up against a wall), so I am particularly interested in comments if your desk is similar. I welcome any and all input! Thank you so much, Morgan McMillian -- Morgan McMillian Library Director Lake Travis Community Library 2300 Lohman's Spur, Suite 100 Austin, Texas 78734 (512) 263-2885 www.laketravislibrary.org This message may contain information that will subject this message to disclosure under public information statutes.
