I mistakenly told you all at the last District meeting that it was required by state law that all job openings be posted at the Texas Workforce Commission. It took a lot of effort, but Marci has finally conclusively been told that the original information she received was just flat incorrect. I spoke with Louis Attwood, the Program Specialist / Workforce Customer Support Representative who was able to shed light on the previous confusion. If the Library were a Contract Government Entity (and as such a private company) we would be required to post all open positions with TWC. However, the Library as simply a Government entity with less than 20 full time employees, we are not required to post any openings with them.
