The Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund
<http://www.usac.org/sl/> , commonly known as E-Rate, has been around
for over a decade, but is still not widely understood by libraries that
could be taking advantage of discounts in three categories of service:
telecommunications services, Internet access, and internal connections.
Henry Stokes, our Library Technology Consultant, will give an overview
of the program, the major steps involved in the application process,
will answer some frequently asked questions and debunk a few existing
myths.
