Okay, so it's volunteer, but note that room & board are provided. Any
potential retirees out there who want a change of scene?

Sounds like fun!

Subject: [ARSL-L] Ghost Ranch Library

Ghost Ranch Library in Abiquiu, NM has an opening for a full-time, long
term volunteer librarian with room and board provided. The library of
16,000 volumes serves the Ghost Ranch community and guests that come
from every corner of the world to take classes or to do research. We are
located in the beautiful high desert of north central New Mexico about
45 miles from the Colorado border. This is a one-person library with
seasonal help during the summer. Duties include selection, ordering,
cataloging (online), circulation, and general maintenance of the library
and its collection. The volunteer librarians have stayed four to
fifteen years depending on circumstances. The work week is full but you
will have time to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the area while
helping preserve and sustain a place of unique historic, spiritual and
environmental significance. Information about the library may be found
online at ghostranch.library.net From that site you can also search
the Ghost Ranch web site. For additional information about the position
you may call Debbie Manzanares at 505 685-4333.
