Subject: [texshare-users] Technology Trends in Libraries Teleconference
andWebcast on April 9, 2010

The Texas State Library invites all Texas library
staff/volunteers/affiliates to the following free continuing education
event:

Technology Trends in Libraries: Tools, Skills, Staffing, Training

BROADCAST DATE AND TIME: April 9, 2010 11:00-12:30 p.m. Central time

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Librarians have done well in keeping their technological infrastructure
as their budgets allow. And most libraries know that the target of
keeping technologically current is always moving. Each year, College of
DuPage teleconferences dedicates one program that takes a look at future
technology trends and gives librarians an important basis for their
planning efforts. Refreshingly free of vendor hype, these
teleconferences will help us understand the issues involved in
everything from the looming Web 3.0 to 4G telecommunications and the
cascade of widgets that can make our web sites more effective.
