Hi All - Please excuse any cross posting. Last fall, the Texas State Library and Archives Commission proposed new administrative rules governing TexShare membership and invited your comment. Many thanks to those of you who provided input to help guide us through this important process. All of the comments received are acknowledged and addressed in the preamble to the new rules that were adopted as posted in the April 2, 2010 edition of the Texas Register. http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/archive/April22010/adopted/13.CULTURAL %20RESOURCES.html#106 Please join us on April 15, from 4:00 - 4:50 at Texas Library Association Annual meeting for a program discussing these new rules governing TexShare membership. The program is titled "TexShare Membership Expansion." TexShare Advisory Board Chair, Kathy Hoffman of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Library, will discuss the process by which these rules were written and adopted. TexShare Coordinator, Ann Mason, will explain how these new rules will be put into practice. There will also be an opportunity for questions about the new rules. If you are not able to make this program, we are preparing a Fact Sheet on TexShare Membership Expansion, which we will post to the TexShare web site. Please watch for our announcement.
