The author of these comments is correct in his belief that capitalism creates
huge amounts of wealth and he is also correct in praising J.D. Rockefeller for
creating the modern oil industry and dramatically lowering the cost of
petroleum products.
The author is incorrect in assuming that unons are socialism. The writer
doesn't know what socialism is.
The writer is so enamored in his ism that he doesn't realize that unregulated
capitalism leads to ever greater concentration of wealth. While the wealthy
may believe that is just fine, some of us know that the growing wealth/income
gap is not a good idea and will stop dead in an unfortunate manner when folks
realize they are getting screwed (actually a few are so brained washed that
they see their poverty as justice). The trick is to harness the enormous
wealth creating power of capitalism but so regulate it that there is a
reasonable distribution of the goodies. That does not mean no rich people but
it does mean no poor. Impossible? Tell that to the Danes.
