Dear Mr. Lovick: I believe all of the people of B.C. are entitled to a
clear and direct answer from you and your Government as to meaning of
First Nation Sovereignty. My understanding is that the Proclamation of
the Okanagan Nation (3/4 page, Province Daily Newspaper, Oct. 15/92, p.
A15) tells the truth. "THE OKANAGAN NATION IS A SOVEREIGN NATION".
Therefore it could apply to enter the UN General Assembly any time could
it not? If Papua New Guinea is still leading the decolonization program
at the UN it will be interested in your reply too.
I look forward to your reply trusting that the "colonial attitude"
described by Chief Gosnell of the Nisga'a when he spoke to your Victoria
Parliament last week does not apply to you.
