Lloyd Sez: The above is a non-sequitor. I am no expert on what Patrick
Henry
thought about slavery. If you are correct about his slave owning status,
he, in logic, may have well been in a position to know just how bad slavery
was!

If Saddam were a "libertarian scholar" in addition to being a fascist
dictator, his political writing might be worth reading though one might hate
to see him getting royalties when one purchased his books.

Foregoing slave owning in a slave holding society like Virginia would
perhaps
be the most moral course, but treating slaves like employees and freeing
them
at your death would be a close 2nd or 3rd. Foregoing owning slaves would
not free any slaves or reduce the oppression of any slaves in Patrick
Henry's
time.

Try to keep your posts logical.

Just because somebody is bashing white males doesn't mean they are bashing
ALL white males.

Some white males deserve to be bashed. Other white males deserve to be
praised.

Just because somebody is bashing patriots doesn't mean they are bashing
all patriots.

Some patriots deserve to be bashed. Other patriots deserve to be praised.

That said, I will now bash a patriot, Patrick Henry.

Patrick Henry OWNED fifty six human beings. Anything a guy like that says
about how great freedom is and and how bad slavery is, is hypocracy. I
see no reason to praise a man just because he opposed England. After all,
Hitler opposed England. So too does Saddam Hussein.
