One to be cautious with supposed endorsement quotes. Remember when
Jesse Helms wrote the introduction for Col Corso's book Beyond Roswell in
which everybody *assumed* that Helms was praising the book when in fact that
intro had nothing to do with that book.

A non issue. Every politician regardless of political strip jumps at the
opportunity to speak to a group in their home state regardless of the groups
beliefs.
If liberal Democratic Senator Joe Biden was offered a chance to speak at a

Birch Society dinner in his home state, he would likely take it...if anything
just
for the opportunity to spread the political gospel according to liberal Joe.
Before we berate Lott, we should examine a copy of his remarks given at said
function.

Never knew a politician yet (Democrat or Republican) who turned down a
chance
to speak and no matter where they speak at they are always quoted by
people/press
as issuing strong praise of the people/group. Or, they make remarks that are
interpreted by the groups organizers as being praise and adulation.
Again we need exact copies of the remarks before we condem.

Apparently Lott is not identified as a member of
the group but his uncle and cousin are. Sounds like guilt by family
association.
Since I am of another religion and my brother is of another, any photo taken
of
us together and run in my brothers church publication is to be interpreted as
an indication that somehow I am involved in that group, when in fact and
reality
I am only involved with my brother.

Nothing new here. Our elected politicians send out "columns," press
releases
and so on to any so called "media outlet" and those folks who requests them.
I would imagine that since the Democratic National Committee also gets Lotts
columns that would indicate that their is some kind of political agenda
between the DNC and Lott, further that it could be interpreted that Lott is
somehow "involved" with the DNC.
Like I said, some serious questions need to be asked.
