Well, gee ... Some guy named "Bill" used "a liberal American political
consultant on the order of a Dick Morris", supposedly for his advantage,
and look what happened. It may be that Saddam has a closet ("cabinet" for
the French and perhaps the Anglos) full of these types. I may be
stretching things a bit but I don't see a lot of difference among the
circumstances of the "leaders" of countries now in the news. Conflict
(especially the threat of political downfall) seems to reinforce the
positions and resolve of these fellows; don't change horses in the middle
of the stream, and ESPECIALLY when the current is swiftest!!! (You can
always blame whatever happens on the horse {which probably has greater
skills and instincts for ultimate survival in the first place}.) They're
all in the same league playing the same game; the QB gets the kudos from
and for the home team.
So, what's happening now? If Sudan was 'wag the dog', is what's happening
now "Swinging" ?
