There is the Asian earthquake, spreading relentlessly outwards with a seemingly unstoppable capital outflow from the region, calculated at US$120 billion this year, twice that of 1997. We have the collapse of the Russian rouble; the largely unsolved Y2K computer bug disaster; the coming of the euro threatening further huge currency upheavals. To top it all, hurtling down faster than all but a few now appreciate, we have the Cyberspace or Information Revolution, itself bringing changes of a magnitude seldom if ever before seen in history. Before we pursue that interesting topic, let's meet the uber-elite, the kingpin internationalists, who have done so much to help bring this all about: the Bilderberg Group. The Bilderbergers? If you are unfamiliar with the name, that's the way they want it. Though the Bilderbergrs, the "shadow world government," have played a huge role in the unwritten history of the world in the past 44 years, every possible effort has been made to achieve complete suppression of news about this esoteric group. By any standards, the Bilderbergers represent the most exclusive private international gathering on earth. Elected by no one, with mandates from no one, their aims secret and conspiratorial, they represent a fascinating example of behind-the-scenes "invisible" influence-peddling in action. Their conferences, usually held once, sometimes twice a year, are normally attended by some 120 men, 80 from Europe, the rest from North America. Women are usually excluded, no one from the Third World ever invited. Nationalists and anti-communists are seldom allowed in. Agenda? How to mould global policy to their own ends. There are, of course, many groups around the globe dedicated to achieving a New World Order. But, of all of them, the one that has perhaps done the most harm is the Bilderberg Group.The ma , invariably, the dissolution of national sovereignty and the formation of a Pax Universalis or Ordo Novus Sectorum, the NWO. These are internationalists who find it is in their own interests to topple emperors, decimate communities and cultures, rig global oil prices, generate wars, currency crises, economic chaos and political upheavals, at the expense of mankind. What they are after is to speed the process of establishing the UN as a world government. It could be argued that the UN is already a world government, steadily gaining in power. But, as one of them once said, they find the process slow . . . "we crawl like snails when we should run like deer." Quite soon after WW2, the Dutch Royal family took the lead in creating the Bilderberg organisation. The odd-sounding term derives from the name of the Hotel de Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, Holland, where the group's first conference was held in May, 1954. That meeting was chaired by Prince Bernhard, a Nazi princeling and Royal consort to Queen Juliana, at the time reputed to be the richest woman in the world. Bernhard served as chairman for 22 years, till 1976, when he was forced to resign over allegations that he had taken US$1,1 million in bribes from the Lockheed Corporation. Although essentially an anti-American enterprise, with unrelenting dedication to the destruction of US sovereignty and the traditional American way of life, the CIA apparently played a hand in formulating the Bilderberger process. Their interest at the time? The destruction of Senator Joe McCarthy, then busily trying to root out commuists in the US State Department. This irritated US career diplomats, then seeking some form of rapprochement with the old USSR. McCarthy, disgraced, disappeared soon after. Since 1954, though its membership has always read like a Who's Who of the world's high-and-mighty, representing a gigantic accumulation of wealth and power, everything about the group has been cloaked in amazing secrecy. Glasnost this is not. High officials of the world's foremost publications, The Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, US News & World Report, Time, The Financial Times, The London Times, the Economist, Germany's Die Zeit, Italy's La Stampa and France's Le Monde have all at one time or another attended the group's conferences, but strictly on a vow of non-disclosure. No stories. No analysis. No features. No photo-ops. Nothing. A de facto news blackout of one of the most remarkable and important institutions of our time. Certainly not in keeping with the Western political tradition of a "free press" or "open covenants, openly arrived at." Well might you ask: Is the press free or even willing to tell the truth? The conference itself never admits who speaks, what is discussed, what is decided. Yet these are the leaders who "take care" of the world! Within their ranks your future, the future of your children, that of your children's grandchildren, is planned. You doubt it? Better not, as you will see. Essentially, the Bilderberg Group was launched as part of the Rothschild/Rockefeller cabal which, to no small degree, holds mastery of both the Western banking system and of oil production. Over many years this cabal has used its enormous wealth, prestige and clout to lead (for their own profit) entire nations towards bankruptcy, dissolution and military disaster. Today no one is able to estimate precisely their combined income or their riches. Groups interlocking with Bilderberg include the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations (CFR - America's "Invisible Government" or "The Rockefeller Foreign Office"); David Rockefeller's Trilateral Commission, also known as the "Child of Bilderberg"; Britain's Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA); Germany's Forschungsinstituut der Deutschen Geselschaft fur Auswartige Politik; Belgium's Institute des Relations Internationales; the Danish Foreign Policy Society, and many more. Most of the Americans on the Bilderberger Steering Committee are members of the CFR. All participants claim to attend in their private capacity, but considering what comes out of these conferences, that claim must be regarded as highly questionable. Last month, May 14/17, saw the 44th annual conference, held this time at the sumptuous Turnberry Hotel on Scotland's west coast. Though every effort is made to portray these assemblies as "colourless, dull, insignificant," the security measures taken were, as usual, prodigious. The hotel itself was emptied of all normal guests. A formidable attachment of armed police turned the entire area into an armed camp. Marksmen were reportedly seen on the hotel roof. Sniffer dogs patrolled the surrounding woodlands; bomb disposal squads stripped down every arriving vehicle in search of hidden explosives. Even bags of frozen peas were not safe in this obsessive search for Semtex, with packets picked at random unceremoniously ripped open. The organisers deny that such tight security is in any way sinister, claim that it is applied simply "to enable delegates to discuss their problems freely and frankly, without fear of uncomfortable publicity." If the proceedings were indeed so dull and devoid of public interest, why did the organisers have all conference rooms de-bugged each morning and before every afternoon and evening session? Bernhard probably gave the game away when he once observed, somewhat superciliously, that "Political decisions of such magnitude are rarely understood by the public at large." Who attended? Peter, Lord Carrington, former British Foreign Secretary, former NATO Secretary-General (and the man who orchestrated the Rhodesian sellout) chaired the conference, as he has done since 1991. The meeting was steered by Heinz (Henry) Kissinger, former US Secretary of State, the man who surrendered Vietnam to the communist Vietcong. Sharing senior positions were David Rockefeller and the Rothschilds of Britain and Europe. Delegates included prime ministers, industrial giants of the "capitalist" West, media supremos, scientists, academics: but, as always, the best represented industry was banking. With their combined ownership of the major Western banks, the Bilderbergers virtually "own" the central banks, such as the US Federal Reserve; are therefore in a position to determine discount rates, money supply levels, the price of gold and which countries should receive loans. Needless to say, their aim is the creation of a common currency for all the industrial democracies, with a common monetary policy and a joint Bank of Issue to determine that monetary policy. Obviously, when men at the pinnacle of planetary power foregather, it is not for idle chitchat. Generally, these are men who view traditional Western, Christian civilisation with contempt. Overall, they represent the same forces which set up World War 1, World War 2, the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf wars, the US-contrived sell-out of Chang Kai-Shek and the delivery of mainland China to the Reds; who arranged the sell-out of Cuba, Nicaragua, the Shah of Iran, Rhodesia, the collapse of the Portuguese Empire, of Rhodesia and South Africa, and so much more. These indeed are the men who decide when wars start, how long they should last, when they should end: and who should participate. For out of war and revolutions come rare opportunities for power and profit, matters of immense interest to the international bankers. These are the people - as we in SA can testify - and as Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and the rest are learning right now, who can destroy entire cultures and communities at a whim. These are the men who seek to undermine the political and social orders of all people everywhere. Thanks to such men we in this century have seen millions of lives blighted and destroyed, whole empires collapsed, untold millions of innocent people handed without a thought to communist dictatorships. Their common goal: the creation of world government under the leadership of international finance, with the UN as its titular head. These are the men who have as their objective what Montagu Norman, former Governor of the Bank of England, declared some 80 years ago: "The hegemony of world finance should reign supreme over everyone, everywhere, as one whole, supernational control mechanism." What Norman called "the hegemony of the world" is known today as the New World Order. To build a NWO, you first need what the Insiders call a New Economic Order. How do you justify a New Economic Order? You need a major crisis, preferably several of them. As any serious student of history knows, all major world-shaping changes have grown out of great crisis periods. Today, have we got that crisis! Brother, have we got one! The ongoing turbulence in the world money market is proof enough of that. And you can be sure the masters of criminal politics will use that to their mutual advantage. How much power do the Bilderbergers really have? They've demonstrated that over and again. Their conspiratorial secrecy camouflages a truly monstrous history: **The Treaty of Rome, which brought the European Common Market and later the European Monetary Union into existence, was nurtured at Bilderberg. The plan for a European superstate, a "United States of Europe," viewed as a major step in the goal of a world government, was high on the agenda at the group's very first meeting in 1954. Minutes of that conference, stamped "Strictly Confidential" but later leaked, read: "When the time is ripe, our present concepts of world affairs should be extended to the whole world." Giovanni Agnelli, now honorary chairman, Italy's Fiat car empire, was present at that first meeting and declared: "European integration is our goal. Where the politicians have failed, we industrialists hope to succeed." **In the early 1970s it was the Bilderbergers who decided that Richard Nixon should go to Beijing to invite Red China, after a lapse of 20 years, to become a member of the family of trading nations. **Jimmy Carter's name as a possible US President was first mentioned at the 1972 Bilderberg conference. **Again and again the Bilderbergers, through their political stooges, have exercised the raw realities of international power, generating panics so they can rape the global economy. A dramatic example of this was the OPEC oil crisis of 1973/74, with a five-fold jump in the oil price and a simultaneous slowdown in deliveries. While Kissinger's role in this has long been public knowledge, what is less well known is that the Bilderbergers had met in 1973 just before the outbreak of the Mid East crisis. **In 1974 Portugal's General Spinola was reportedly invited to meet the Bilderbergers. Not too long afterwards we saw Portugal's communist-led "carnation revolution," resulting in the withdrawal of Portugal from Africa and the effective capture of the incredibly rich natural resources of Angola and Mozambique by US, particularly Rockefeller, interests. **In early 1989 the Bilderbergers met: with Margaret Thatcher targeted for political assassination because of her unyielding opposition to the NWO European superstate game plan. In short order, she had been replaced by the high school dropout, John Major; her own party and the Establishment press having turned on her like so many jackals. Interesting here was the murder of Ian Gow, one of Maggie's most effective loyalists, by the IRA. Even the Economist speculated that had Gow not been murdered, the cabal's efforts to oust Maggie may not have succeeded. **As George Bush repeatedly made clear, the Gulf War extravaganza of 1991, with an estimated 100 000 Iraqi soldiers and 200 000 civilians killed, was a blatant example of NWO power, intended to condition the public mind to accept a world army. **At its meeting in Evian, France, in 1992, the Bilderbergers promoted the "shock therapy" later imposed by the IMF on Russia as a condition for sending in billions of US tax dollars. This allowed Western "entrepreneurs" to gobble up Russian assets at distress-sale prices. By 1994 Russian industrial production had plunged to 20% of what it was under the Soviet Union: and it was low then. By now the "misery index" in Russia was so great that some Bilderbergers feared a revolutionary backlash could ruin it all. **Over the last year or so, Japan, Inc., so recently threatening to overtake the US economy, has discovered the clout of this shadowy NWO clique. Once the Japanese economy started cracking, all hell broke loose throughout Asia. The internationalists now have the full-scale monetary crisis they have so long sought. Association with the Bilderbergers definitely enhances your career prospects. Historically, the group has had a knack of recruiting participants before destiny turns them into leaders. Harold Wilson and Edward Heath were delegates to Bilderberg conferences long before becoming Prime Ministers of Britain. Kissinger took part years before he served Nixon. Gerald Ford was an obscure Congressman when he attended his first conference. The Bilderbergers are credited with putting Clinton into the White House. Tony Blair attended a 1993 Bilderberg conference in Athens. The Establishment media, the ivory league universities and the mainstream churches have teamed up time and again with the internationalists to scuttle anti-communist allies and promote instead the most violent Marxist terrorist organisations. Delegates representing SA's Oppenheimer interests have attended Bilderberg meetings, notably so in the early 1980s, just before Chase Manhattan in 1984 refused to roll over SA loans, so starting a hugely damaging run on the rand. It should be remembered that the Oppenheimer group poured hundreds of millions into the ANC between 1984 and 1994. No doubt this, and their Bilderberg links, could explain why George Bush as US president directed the CIA "to spare no expense or manpower in their assistance to the US Ambassador to SA, William Lacey Swing, who had been tasked to unite the ANC, SACP and COSATU and bring them to victory." Summing up: The elitist plans for a socialist One World dictatorship roll inexorably on. The "leaders" of most nations are simply pawns in the game being played by the arch-conspirators of the Bilderberg Group: men who find it in their own interest periodically to plunge the world into a dizzying whorl of instability. Left to these people, it will be woe to freedom, woe to Christianity and Western civilisation, woe to the nation state and all that we hold dear. We are all cannon fodder. We are all victims. It may be fun for some. But it's not for kids. Let's hope there's foam on the runway, because all of us in the world today are coming in on a wing and a prayer. When asked by reporters what was going on at the 132-bed, �600-a-night Turnberry Hotel in Ayrshire, staff would only say that the hotel was closed for "a private function." Yet by any reckoning these guests deserve a place on the A-list of global power-broking. The highest echelons of international banking and finance were, as customary, heavily represented.
