Monsanto's patent does NOT apply to 'heirloom' seeds, rather to modern
seeds...but the objections to such a process should still be raised, as
it's all part of the process of the major chemical companies to control
the quantity and diversity of food available to the public to grow
themselves...
All the more reason to support companies like Seeds of Change, which ARE
making an effort to save 'heirloom' varieties...and join a local group
dedicated to finding and saving such varieties, if there isn't a group in
your area, form one...
