Subject: [VotingOnline] What will Voting Online do to the NYSE?
From: Franklin Wayne Poley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Consider that a typical situation in a broadly held "public" corporation
is that a few individuals holding a small percentage of stock "run the
show". For example if each of three individuals holds 3% of the stock then
they run the company if the average small shareholder holds only 1% of 1%
and they don't get organized. They might as well have no vote.
The imminent ubiquitous internet changes all that. The small
shareholders can easily organize and I think we will see big changes in
who runs the big companies on the stock exchanges and how they are run.
