firstly the 6 pointed star and southern templar cross have been added to my

internet book

which map to use is tricky - the french use 2 projections and at overlaps

things get distorted - i finished up with satelite photo and even they are

"corrected"

the ign road map of paris is close enough

to draw the seal of solomon

a little south of but exactly parallel to the rue d'assas are 2 churches:

saint ignace and the chapel attached to the ecole saint sulpice.

draw a line through the center of the crosses on each of these two churches

where it croose the meridian just north of the observatoire rotate your

ruler through 60 and I draw a second line which crosses the centre of the

cathedral of notre dame now draw a horizontal line to meet the line through

the two churches and completing an equilateral triangle.

if you now draw a circle inside or outside of this equilateral triangle the

palais du luxembourg is at the centre - if not you have made a mistake.

now draw another triangle to complete the hexagram - the apex sits neatly

over the Place de Institut the line from the apex to the south west corner

runs down rue de rennes

>And what is the significance of the Palais de Luxembourg?

it was the seat of the court of champagne when built and thus the home of

the templars and the freemasons

it is now used by the french senate and it was the french state who

confiscated the french property of the hospitallers in around 1800

revenge is a dish best eaten cold

>I'm still far from clear as to where the Martinists come from, although

they seem to be a Gnostic/Rosicrucian type lot and are still

functioning. Can anybody enlighten me, or point to a source of

enlightenment?

saint-martin - his name he was not a saint was part of the boehme,

swedenberg group of intellectuals who formed eighteenth century intellectual

opinion

he was a freemason and active in the creation of the side degrees so he's

pretty central to this debate

use your search engine under "martinism" and settle down for a few evenings

reading

hope that all helps
