I appreciated the importance even before I became one of those dislodged
40-somethings...and I deal with it every day in my job search -- people
rave about my resume, my background, my abilities...but when it comes
down to PAYING me what I'm worth (and I'm not asking for the high-end of
the range), they opt for recent college grads or outsource it to India,
Pakistan, or the Phillipines where programmers work for pennies per hour....
