It is odd that traditional Christian religions are offended by the concept
of homosexuality, considering that "The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost"
are all male figures (to them). If God created us in His image, where did the
Son come from?
My Bible has five of the many Apocryphal books which are not part of the
King James version. Two of these, "Wisdom" and "Eccelesiasticus" mention
Wisdom or the Holy Spirit as being female. Of course, King Solomon's, "Song
of Songs" runs with the Bride and Bridegroom theme which is also found in
"Revelations."
If what you quote about King James is true:
"As related by Otto Scott, King James "was a known homosexual
who murdered his young lovers and victimized countless heretics and
women. His cruelty was justified by his 'divine right' of kings."
it would make sense that King James would rule out Biblical Books which might
lead one to believe there is a feminine aspect to Divinity.
My personal understanding of God recognizes that He wouldn't dare tell
anyone what their preferences should be. It is my guess He would also be
offended that a feminine spirit would be left out of this so-called Divinty
equation. I think Pagans have a better grasp of divinity and nature than any
other organized group.
