I have no list of "taboo subjects" except that which is in the disclaimer.
Proselytizing is forbidden, arguing over the conspiratorial and control nature
of religions is definitely not. Arguing issues of faith and/or belief are not
appropriate here but arguing the meaning of religious books, who wrote them,
what purpose they serve, and, etc., is definitely a topic that can be
discussed here. What is traditional Christianity, who has perverted it? What
do all of the books cited in the previous e-mail really have to say regarding
homosexuality as well as other controversial issues? Who was Paul, AKA Saul?
What is his stake in this? What were his connections to Rome? Why were
certain books left out of the Bible and some questionable ones put in? One
might also question from the other point of view too, i.e., why Christianity
is under attack, if that is what one believes. Why the church is questioned,
what is the purpose of the attacks etc. All of these are questions (and others
like them) that can be addressed here, as long as we shy away from trying to
convert or equally condemning those who disagree. These issues can be
discussed if we remove the personal faith and belief element that tends to
make us get hot headed and rant.
