As someone who went to grad school in archeology and did 11 years of
field work, including some in Egypt, I was appalled by the whole show.
It was so staged and so unarcheological Hawass should embarrased enough
to resign. But even worse was the media passing off this farce as "live"
and as archeology. They must be certain that the dumbing down process in
our schools has been accomplished and we are all a bunch of bleeting
sheep. I am enraged by it all.
