SUPERSONIC DELAY Pentagon, Virginia The NAVY has delayed initial proposals for the Super Sonic Sea Skimming Target (SSST) project. The delay announcement came within hours of a SOFTWAR request to interview the civilian head of the project, DOD Undersecretary Buchanan. The project, already delayed for eight years, has run into more trouble by trying to purchase Russian built ZVEZDA Kh-31 missiles to serve for the USN target. Pentagon - Virginia. ABC news is reporting that hackers have penetrated DOD Computers. Pentagon officials have accused Russia. The hack attacks were not to critical systems. The most likely agency to attempt such a hack is the Russian SVR. Seattle, Washington The Washington Post is reporting that a a federal grand jury in Seattle is investigating whether Boeing has violated criminal law. Boeing is accused of sharing sensitive data with Russian and Ukrainian engineers working with the company on the "Sea Launch" Zenit rocket project. In September 1999, Boeing agreed to pay a $10 million fine to settle civil allegations that it passed information to foreign engineers without authorization on over 200 occasions. Boeing included, as part of the settlement with the Clinton administration, that it did not admit to any "wrongdoing". Chinese Army officers have integrated the secure fiber-optic system using commercial communications system built in U.S. and France. Customs officials say Yao was working with the Chinese Army and the fiber-optic gyros were destine for missile applications.
