The thing is Davie, that you're preaching to the converted - and it is true
that the Bad Guys have an extremely alien outlook to the continuity of the
resources and population that they are harvesting ... ie. they seem to be
winding up operations ... ie. US - the good guys.
There are Billions of people on this planet that just want to go down the pub,
watch football or have some happy rice crackers.
The bad guys are trying to extremely deplete the Global Population to about
10 percent of its current level - and they don't necessarily have to breathe
the same air ifthegoing gets tough because they have most likely got colonies
round other planets and stars - having had long enough with space technology
eg. since at least the 40's - and any other deal they would have worked out
with whatever made them the offer that they couldn't refuse.

An appeal to common humanity is probably out of place with the monsters
that run
this world - namely because its pretty unlikely that they are human.
After all, destroying ones very own oxygen is an act of suicide completely
alien
to the survival of the self - and only makes sense if the bad guys want to
leave.

Simply wishing for a better world doesn't necessarily mean being a spectator.
Active analysis of our predicament, dealing with and preparing for the
negative
stuff is also sane and realistic.
There are people out there in the world that would deny us the right to
breathe
air, eat good food, drink good water, have real education, and would give
us bad
medicines - also, they actively foment war and anarchy and disinformation
simply
to divide and rule - ie. they want control - control of your mind, body and
soul.
Breathing doesn't make them go away.
Why can't we all get along ypu may ask - well don't ask us - its the small
evil
minority that have entrenched themselves intent on killing us all.
They won't go away because they have the physical power and resources to
destroy us.
There may be some magical solution based on happy wishful thinking.
There may be some benevolent invasion of nice ET's
There may be some insurrection and conflict.
Whatever happens, there will be less of us collectively breathing for peace
in
10 years time - there may also be less of them collectively breathing for war.
Hasn't the conspiracy for Global Peace been going since the 60's - King, JFK
pressure groups like amnesty international, greenpeace, the velvet revolution
in Prague - Television has probably given the world a common understanding of
itself - that the majority of the Globe has poverty and injustice in common.
I hope that we can all breathe easier soon.
