I lived a block away from Gottleib's CIA "safe house" on Telegraph Hill in SF. At
the time (1961) I was nine years old. This was the notorious MK-ULTRA LSD-whore
house where unsuspecting business johns were dosed unknowingly and submitted to
God knows what kind of psycho terror by another fine piece of spook excrement,
Col. Ed White. When I saw Gottleib's obit in the NY Times the other day, I was in
a bar with some friends. I immediately bought my two friends a drink and made a
toast -- "Here's to one of the worst pieces of human excrement that's ever graced
that toilet we call the CIA. May he burn in hell."
