Harding many believed had been murdered (they did not use the polite
term of assassintion).
My mother had pictures of those in attendance at the Harding funeral; I
assume her family had attended, as Harding was from Ohio and was very
well liked by the family.
I always wondered about Alaska; Harding was headed there when he died,
so was Will Rogers and the late, great Hale Boggs. Mr. Boggs, had just
taken on J. Edgar Hoover; his plane crashed in Alaska - and neither
plane nor Mr. Boggs was found.
Regardless to this day, there are those who believe Harding was poisoned
- that there was a Borgia in the Whitehouse.
