One day near the end of 1998, it was both wet and cold. The dull morning sky was almost pink. A slight bite in the wind was a sudden reminder to Juanita Broaddick that she wasn't wearing a coat. As she stepped back inside, the telephone rang. It was probably Lisa Myers again. Persistence could easily have been Lisa's middle name. [Edit this Paragraph] 01 Take a message David," she told her husband, as she headed out the door again. "Tell her I'll call her back in a couple of hours." The phone continued to ring. "How do you know it's her?", David yelled, instinctively knowing that she meant Lisa. "It is!", Juanita yelled back as the double storm door slammed behind her. [Edit this Paragraph] 01a Recently out of bed, Juanita wasn't fully alert yet and wanted to avoid talking to Lisa until she was clear-headed. The walk down to the main road in the brisk air would give her a chance to think. [Edit this Paragraph] 01b For a news person, Lisa Myers was okay. Juanita liked her, and over the months a bond of trust had begun to form. She was determined but not rude and arrogant as the rest. [Edit this Paragraph] 01c Juanita wasn't kidding herself. Lisa wanted the same thing they all did - every dirty detail. Dredging those up would be painful, but what scared Juanita was going 'on the record'. She wasn't ready for that. Not yet, and maybe never. [Edit this Paragraph] 01d For twenty-one years she had kept the whole thing bottled up inside, except for confiding in a very few close associates. She did not report the assault, never having felt that it was a wise thing to do. Who would have believed "little ol' Juanita Hickey" against the chief law enforcement officer of the state? Surely in a trial the defense would have delved into her sex life. Her reputation in the small town of van Buren, once people knew about her affair with David Broaddrick, would have been ruined. Bill Clinton had probably counted on her silence because of her fear of losing her place in her small southern community. [Edit this Paragraph] 02 In the immediate aftermath, the assault gutted her self-esteem. It took years to heal. At least the usual victims' reaction of self loathing and self blaming had ended. All things considered, she was in good shape. "Healthy, wealthy and wise", as a friend would later comment. Wise enough to keep her mouth shut. It was crucial that her husband was also firmly against her going public. [Edit this Paragraph] 03 Their hard-won privacy was stating to suffer. Was there really any reason to come forward and tell the country? Would her story coming out now give the Senators enough spine to remove Bill Clinton from office? She doubted it. Why put herself though the trauma of a public interview unless she would be believed? [Edit this Paragraph] 04 Earlier in 1998 Juanita had nearly convinced herself she could do it. When she watched Kathleen Willey put her reputation on the line on 60 Minutes, she felt an almost sisterly affinity for her. Willey was credible on TV, and maybe together they could force the sexual crimes of Bill Clinton into the open. 'Blast bastard Bill with both barrels!' Funny how abstrct reactive thoughts like that could cause a rape victim to giggle. But the euphoria was soon gone and by late that evening her good sense had overcome her renewed outrage at the president. [Edit this Paragraph] 05 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ {Editors' Note: Juanita, if you are monitoring, please feel free to scream if our creative license gets too far out of line. So we will continue to make periodic postings on the Free Republic as the project progresses. Thank You.} ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Once the House began the impeachment hearings on TV, she she thought more about making the story public. The times when she saw Geraldo Rivera manipulating the facts, she thought of coming forward. She despised the fawning way Geraldo had of kissing up to Bill Clinton, the man who raped her and later became President of the United States. [Edit this Paragraph] 06 Lately, Juanita had thought about it all too often. But thinking and doing are miles apart. Besides, she didn't owe a thing to anyone, least of all to the American public. Juanita had grown up. She was smart. She had learned some very valuable lessons about the public. They could not be trusted. They would never take Bill Clinton to task. [Edit this Paragraph] 07 She had watched their reaction when some of the other women had come forward. After the White House spin kicked in, the public pretty much dismissed their allegations as "trash." It seemed that almost every one of the women later wished they hadn't talked. [Edit this Paragraph] 08 She pushed all those thoughts aside when she reached the road and realized she hadn't brought the key along. The gate was locked. The mail box was on the outside the property, but it was mounted on a post close to the fence. But by walking a few feet down the fence line, she retrieved her mail by reaching around from the back. Then she started back towards the house, wondering why some neighbor boys were sitting for so long out at the road in their truck. [Edit this Paragraph] 08b Juanita knew she was not the first to be raped by Bill Clinton. She knew of other incidents which were not public. It would be easier if they were, but she wasn't going to be the one to reveal other victim's stories, at least not on purpose. She would need to be careful in this regard. Being 'outed' was something Juanita had always dreaded. Now it seemed what she had feared for so long had come true. [Edit this Paragraph] 08b Several people with political agendas had tried to get her to come forward after hearing of her story through the Arkansas rumor mill. Some contacted the national press about her rape story back in 1991 and had failed to attract major interest. But the latest set of circumstances involved legal jeopardy. More recently, in late 1997, Juanita did something wrong because she hadn't thought the consequences through. In attempting to avoid becoming entangled in the Paula Jones case, she signed a false but vaguely worded affidavit. Kenneth Starr was told that it was false and sent investigators who wanted the truth. [Edit this Paragraph] 08c Juanita's son, Kevin Hickey, (a law school graduate and manager of the family nursing home) had known the truth about his mother's rape since she told him the details in 1991. He told her she had no choice but to set the record straight with Starr's investigators. Lying to a federal prosecutor was far more serious than an ambiguous affidavit filed in a civil lawsuit. [Edit this Paragraph] 09 In an immunity agreement with the special prosecutor, Juanita recanted the false Jones affidavit, told the truth as regards the rape, but did not implicate Clinton for 'obstruction of justice'. Since this was the only link Starr was pursuing with Juanita's story, he backed off. However, this information became a footnote in the Starr Report which led to further inquiry by impeachment investigators. [Edit this Paragraph] 09a Next came the visits from investigators with the impeachment inquiry. She told them the truth as well. It was all coming to a head. Converging events were forcing her to make a decision. [Edit this Paragraph] 09c The Jones' lawyers, the local politicians, Ken Starr, House investigators: all had pushed or pulled in different directions in order to advance their own agendas. None of these agendas would enhance the comfortable life Juanita had struggled to build as virtually a pioneer businesswoman in her local area. None of these agendas would help her family. [Edit this Paragraph] 09d ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The ICE Man is Acquitted Part One 'It's All You Need to Know' Motto: NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw With the unintended help of a libelous article by a major US tabloid accusing David Broaddrick of accepting bribes from Clinton the Keep his wife's mouth shut, Juanita finally decided that she had been 'outed' and came forward to 'set the record straight'. Edit his Paragraph] 10 Naturally, the one person who Juanita trusted, Lisa Myers of NBC was given the exclusive. No one else got nothing. Lisa and the lawyers at NBC made sure of it by getting Mrs. Broaddrick to sign an exclusivity agreement. Edit his Paragraph] 10b Now Juanita felt an obligation to tell the truth as she knew it, and to do it before the authorities made their decision on the fate of William Jefferson Clinton. Edit his Paragraph] 10c But as with is true of most things in life, it didn't quite work out as planned. She told her story to NBC's cameras all right, but the trust she had invested in Lisa Myers and NBC was ultimately abused. Edit his Paragraph] 10d At the same time, the trust that the American People had so innocently placed in NBC, as an institution of the Fourth Estate, was not only abused, but egregiously betrayed. Edit his Paragraph] 10e NBC lost the scoop of the decade and the virtue of the American people was lost forever. As a result, The Republic of the United States will never be the same. Edit his Paragraph] 10f We will examine what happened in detail, but first lets review the original Broaddrick story: It is about an alleged violent rape performed by a full time arrogant politician, and, according to Juanita Broaddrick, a part time masher and rapist. [Edit this Paragraph] 11 The event of the story is likely to become an enigma* in American and US presidential history. The word is a perfect fit. ... "A dark, obscure, inexplicable riddle, the meaning of which is yet to be discovered or guessed." *[-Dictionary.com] However, the giant American media conglomerates seem to have little interest in discovering whether or not the most the popular president in modern American history is guilty of a brutal, despicable and violent crime. Nor do they consider guessing, as regards to this specific subject, a proper sport for televised public discourse. Guessing is what the public is left with if this story is not closely examined. [Edit this Paragraph] 12 >From the viewpoint of the major TV network executives, it was all started by Lisa Myers, a mid level reporter at NBC. But like it or not, all the big shots are involved with this sensational story one way or another. [Edit this Paragraph] 13 Not only NBC, but ABC, CBS and CNN have spent countless executive hours attempting to diminish it, or at a bare minimum, keep it under control without appearing to do so. This article explains how and why. [Edit this Paragraph] 14 "But it doesn't mean anything," say the pundits on CNN and sister broadcast networks who all seem to be collaborating to keep the story submerged. So far, those tactics appear to be working. A CNN/USA Today poll taken 5 days after the DATELINE broadcast, only 44% of the public had any knowledge that Bill Clinton had ever been accused of rape. [Edit this Paragraph] 15 A MSNBC on-line poll said that 85% of the people who did see Juanita Broaddrick tell her story on TV (where she directly accused him of a violent rape) believe that she is telling the truth. It is called the "credibility factor" and is the reason why Lisa Myers told Mrs. Broaddrick that her TV interview was "too credible" and bad news for those wishing to air it prior to the impeachment vote. [Edit this Paragraph] 15b It is also why any further television exposure of Juanita Broaddrick is bad news for Bill Clinton and those seeking to protect his presidential legacy and his personal reputation. Powerful forces are at work to see this story is buried and future television exposure is minimized. [Edit this Paragraph] 16 All of this is Ignored by the Talking Heads Often myopic in viewing political events, the TV know-it-alls totally refuse to accept the significance of this uniquely credible allegation of rape. Since there is "no chance of a second impeachment inquiry" and the fact that the statute of limitations for rape has taken effect, the would-be experts maintain the Broaddrick story is "not news at all". They treat it as an unproveable accusation and further dismiss it with the verbal shrug, "This story simply has nowhere to go." [Edit this Paragraph] 17 Nowhere to go? .... Ok then, let's just moove on! No No ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Much more to be Revealed Evidence will soon surface which may corroborate that Bill Clinton was, in fact, at the Camelot hotel on April 25th, 1978, the day of the alleged rape. We know this because William Bennett on Sunday's Meet the Press asserted that "White House sources are saying as much on background to elite media insiders." This is typical Clinton strategy - leak bad news in advance before it breaks from an unfriendly source. This way the handmaidens of Clinton propaganda will not be caught with their defenses down. But this "acidic Arkansas rhubarb" may be only the first of many troubling revelations to come. [Edit this Paragraph] 18 NBC Still Hiding Breaking News? NBC shot eight hours of tape including Juanita and at least seven corroborating witnesses. They told her that it would all be edited down to one. A lie. They verbally promised her it would air before the conclusion of the Senate impeachment vote. Another lie, and also a legal breach of good faith. This was, in fact, what allowed her to disregard her exclusivity contract with NBC and authorize the advance release of the story in both the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post. [Edit this Paragraph] 19 A look at timing and editing reveals even more deception by NBC. Intelligent viewers would also add contempt to the charge, and Mrs. Broaddrick called it "betrayal". [Edit this Paragraph] 20 Specially selected surgeons at NBC literally 'cut the life' out what should have been the TV Event of the Year, if not the decade. NBC edited the piece down to 23 minutes; they ran their mini-cut a month after it was first scheduled. NBC then put it up against the Grammy Awards without advance promotion, and late enough so that TV Guide and the other scheduling services could not alert viewers. A story "made for TV," one NBC novice producer had said. But this event was first canceled and later sheepishly "only postponed" in the name of responsible journalism. [Edit this Paragraph] 21 Carefully laying out the facts convincingly shows that NBC has told you a deliberate falsehood. Thereby a major story of major consequence was compromised by corrupt and duplicitous means. [Edit this Paragraph] 22 Lisa Myers had difficulty cutting it down to one hour. (Monica got two). Local NBC producers like those in NY, not in the loop, planned contingencies for focus groups: men, women's groups, politicians, etc. Many affiliate stations, which are not under political duress, wanted to do their own local focus groups for integration with the affiliated stations' late news programs. [Edit this Paragraph] 23 The net bad faith result is the fact that NBC made the ultimate decision to run the piece only after the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post broke the story mainstream. NBC was publicly criticized for 'spiking' it under intense political pressure. "Not true!", they screamed. That assertion insults the intelligence of those who of us who know a blatant lie when we hear one. [Edit this Paragraph] 24 CNBC Producer Ignites Unintended Double Firestorm The public was outraged. Even some of the news producers were embarrassed. Enough so that, in what appeared to be a snap judgment, someone at Myers ordered a rerun of the full 23 minute cut again on Thursday's "The News with Brian Williams." [Edit this Paragraph] 25 Wednesday night, however, it was obvious that that 'someone' was not Williams who seemed visibly shocked as he received instructions over his earpiece and dutifully delivered the rerun announcement live. The master manipulators On High were not impressed, but it was too late to countermand the action, and the fire storm was refueled Thursday night. [Edit this Paragraph] 26 What was left on the 'Cutting Room' Floor? NBC quotes Broaddrick as saying it was a "fair presentation" covering all the important points. But sources inside NBC tell a very different story. One network insider, Washington Bureau Chief Tim Russert, is alleged to have watched the five hour 'first cut' and became so sick to his stomach that he was forced to leave the room. [Edit this Paragraph] 27 Although Russert refuses to confirm or deny that he in fact became ill, another source who also viewed the uncut version but at a separate time said, "He may have gotten sick. I mean it is really bad! So bad in fact, that I was told of one GE (NBC's parent corporation) executive who believed the content so explosive that he felt an obligation for 'national security officials' (meaning the White House) to see it prior to any public airing." [Edit this Paragraph] 28 The source could not confirm that this preview did happen. "I simply don't know," he said. Nor would he provide details explaining why he had characterized it as "really bad". We do know that before the impeachment vote certain details not known to the public were made available to Clinton 'spinmeisters', such as Eleanor Clift. She and others, on the few cable TV shows that would touch the subject, were soon hammering away at the fact the Juanita could not recall the exact date of the incident. You can draw your own conclusions. [Edit this Paragraph] 29 Other conclusions can be drawn if one is aware of a little known fact. On Monday, March 1st, NBC took the unprecedented step of restricting its own NBC affiliates and other divisions from re-broadcasting exclusive Broaddrick interview footage*. Why would they do this? * [Referring to footage which has already been aired , not the unreleased portions.] [Edit this Paragraph] 30 The head honchos at NBC and GE know this story is explosive. They are desperately trying to censor their affiliated stations' news departments and the lowly line producers at Myers and MSNBC. Those producers may not want to help the 'in crowd' perpetuate a 'well oiled' fraud upon the viewing public. [Edit this Paragraph] 31 Under "orders from headquarters," a special team was set up to grant or refuse such rebroadcast requests. "No wonder the White House isn't concerned -- no one will see her anymore," said one frustrated MSNBC anchor off air. [Edit this Paragraph] 32 Why would GE executives want to stick their necks out on behalf of Bill Clinton? Probably because Clinton knows where all of GE's bones of corruption are buried in China. Remember that GE was the beneficiary of billions of dollars of 'sweetheart' deals associated with Clinton's sell out of American technology to the Chinese military. Should Clinton be impeached, or forced to resign in disgrace, those deals would quickly become the major focus of an already pending congressional inquiry. A deposed, bitter, vindictive, and 'knowledgeable' Bill Clinton could leak some very damaging information. Perhaps threats such as these played a part in keeping the Broaddrick interview shelved until the impeachment trial was over. Whatever was used as leverage, you can be sure it stank to high heaven. Truth and the Free Press were sprayed with the stench of an 'Arkansas Political Poll Cat'. [Edit this Paragraph] 33 The impeachment trial cannot be revisited. NBC has raped a trusting nation. It abrogated its constitutional First Amendment duty and deliberately concealed vital information from the citizens of a once virtuous and free Republic. How could they? Remember the NBC motto: 'All the News You Need to Know'. Guess who decides what you need to know? [Edit this Paragraph] 34 The impeachment is over? .... Then it must be time to moove on! Not Yet .... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Ice Man Always Rapes Twice If nobody else is talking, and Juanita won't comment publicly, how will we learn what is still missing from the story? Day by day, leaks are revealing more and more. Edit this Paragraph] 35 The investigators working for the Paula Jones lawyers are a very talented husband and wife team who interviewed hundreds of people while chasing down Juanita Broaddrick and a score of other Jane Does. They had their interview transcripts subpoenaed by Ken Starr. [Edit this Paragraph] 36 This is a major part of the infamous treasure trove of unreleased raw investigative files now resident in the Ford building. The very same ones that supposedly triggered some of the weakest Republicans to vote for impeachment. No one who has read these files can legally reveal their content, but in the Clinton Era who pays attention to the law? [Edit this Paragraph] 37 According to several sources who claim to have read the files, one of the unreleased interviews with Mrs. Broaddrick reads, "Clinton raped me twice!" After the first violation the Ice Man laughed at her, grabbed his still turgid member and, quoting his words directly, said, "Here, I got some more for you." [Edit this Paragraph] 38 More recently, a respected reporter, who had a lengthy conversation with Mrs. Broaddrick subsequent to NBC's broadcast told of even more vicious, biting threats that were made directly to Mrs. Broaddrick at the time of the alleged rape by a seething, and "red faced, hunching, and sweating," Attorney General, Bill Clinton: "Lie still! - Lie still!, ... Don't you move, you bitch, or I'll bite you again right on your mouth!" [Edit this Paragraph] 39 Would that have been enough to make you sick, like Tim Russert? Were there even worse outrages which have been deliberately hidden by NBC? It makes one wonder: what other 'tidbits' are still gathering dust on NBC's cutting room floor, or have been classified as too brutal for American viewers? Perhaps those nasty secrets have been deposited in the 'memory hole'. [Edit this Paragraph] 40 It's just 'he said kiss, she said bite' .... we'll never know the truth ... he didn't kill her, did he? OK ... let's just get it behind us, and moove on! Not so Fast ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The 'Love Child' of the Internet The Broaddrick story has been adopted as its 'love child' by the emerging, independent internet press. Almost hourly, one can find new twists and turns. New information never stops, and highly efficient new Sun and Cisco internet routing systems serve it up to a massively growing audience at the speed of light. [Edit this Paragraph] 41 The public files of, Capital Hill Blue , The Drudge Report, The Free Republic, The Laissez Faire City Times , News Max.Com, and World Net Daily are on line and contain, collectively, the best information available on this story. The cumulative readership of the above Internet publications exceeds five million hits a day, and is growing exponentially. This is why the Broaddrick story was forced into the mainstream in the first place. And why it will continue to grow in spite of the machinations of a semisecret yet concerted propaganda axis. These manipulators of public sentiment* worship power and are receptive to the mendacious agenda of two borderline psychotics in order to feather and further their own nests and private agendas. *[In earlier times, the term would have been public opinion but since "opinion" is defined as "a conviction founded on probable evidence". That term is no longer appropriate in the Clinton Era.] [Edit this Paragraph] 42 What has become of the virtue of the free press -- the Republic's constitutionally protected Fourth Estate? The answer is as black and white as yesteryear's front page of the New York Times. Corruption has usurped and apathy has addled the ethics and pride of a once respected profession called journalism. But the tide is turning. The prostitution of virtue is not without an ultimate cost: the loss of respect. A backlash is in the works. [Edit this Paragraph] 43 Thanks to the aforementioned massive growth of independent internet journalism as part of the alternative media, the once absolute and consequentially corrupt power of consolidated major media has peaked. Now their livelihoods are at stake. Their loss of public credibility is nearing, and the hegemony of the media elite may be gasping its last breath. [Edit this Paragraph] 44 Many of its famous stars, the once special 'darlings' at Bill and Hill's Renaissance Weekends, have grown arrogant and have foolishly gone too far. Having expended nearly all of their credibility in an impossible defense of the indefensible, their capital with the public is quickly diminishing along with that of their guru, Mr. Bill. Their organizations mindlessly suck up to brute power regardless of how dishonestly it may have been achieved and is maintained. [Edit this Paragraph] 45 OK! Now you've gone too far! ... How can you back up your arrogant charge that top media folks are arrogant? Show us proof! If not, lets just moove on! Ask and Receive ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stop editing here... new ending at work .....
