Well Orsan Welles scared the heck out of a lot of people once with his
invasion of Mars.....and as for Alfred Hitchcock, he opened the door to
real violence on the screen.
The Griffith's were an old southern family, and I do not know if D.W.
was a part of it; and I did see birth of a nation.
After the Civil War Bedford Forrest started the Klan as strictly a
protective brigade against unruly whites and blacks; the carpetbaggers
were more of a problem, than any poor black who happened to be
victimized.
Everyone knows that when the Klan was infiltrted with criminals, and
possibly Yankee agents, Beford Forrest called for it to disband.....and
true Klansmen went back in a state of hibernation.
When you have the KGB sending out letters using KKK loga and name, and
when you see the Walker spies using the KKK as a front.....well, let us
say it takes a thief to catch a thief.
The stories about atrocities against the Southerner's after the Civil
War are quite correct.
