He also stated that almost everything they published was invented by him,
as part of his disinfo campaigns...
But I actually think there's an element of truth to the Saddam Hussein
thing...while I doubt he ever did dinner theater (in Tulsa, or anywhere
else for that matter), I do tend to believe he was set up by us --
originally as a foil against Iran, and now to fulfill whatever need
certain parties have to justify our continuing military presence in the
MidEast...it would go a long way to explain why, in the long run, we've
treated him with kid gloves...
If our leaders had no qualms about invading Panama to capture Noreiga,
what's kept them from doing the same thing in Iraq, other than the fact
that they find Saddam Hussein useful?
