The raids stopped about 30 minutes ago, but I'm sending just brief news, etc. First of all, thanks to everybody who wrote E mails!!! It means so much to us!!! Tell us what is happening out there in the"normal" world, in everyday life reallity, we don't want to listen to war reports only...At this point, we decided that we will stay in our apartment at the 5th floor... IMPORTANT: please do not send snail mail as - as far as I know by now - it is not functioning any more in Serbia...Also, do not send "heavy" file attachments, as both electricity and phone lines are not functioning "normally", so I'm afraid that heavy files will be no good for my mailbox... I went to see my parents (they do not have a phone at their place!) and was cought by the emergency sounds while I was riding my bike at the road near the (emtied, I think) army baracks...I was surprised to see that most of the people around just continued with their everyday activities, nobody was not running in panick... It turned out that Pancevo was not bombed this morning, thank god! Nandor Ljubanovic ( the guy who recently has published that Kulturbunt fanzine) lives only 500 m and 1000m from the places where the bombs felt yesterday in Pancevo... Nandor is sending his regards to all our mutual friends, and he said he and his family are OK...During the first strike, emergency system was not used at the time, and he was coming out of the car, together with his sister-in-law ( who is going to give a birth any day now) when they saw two flashes not so far away from them!... It turned out to be NATO missiles, and they caused a spectalur explosion... During the second strike,early in the morning, Nandor went out on his terrace to light a cigarette, and the next thing that he saw was a big red flesh which lighted a dark skys... Second strike was much heavier, and I was able to observe from my window a large black smoke over that place for at least 10 hours...Luckyly, the fire haven't spread up... Here they started to run only domesticly produced, Yugoslav movies in the cinema, and boring old war movies on the TV, I mean the same movie on all state tv programs... And still there is not enough news and not enough reliable informations, but we heard that those strikes may become harder and harder....
