# Copycat virus follows quickly on Melissa's heels. (CNN) Network Associates
has discovered an e-mail virus similar to the Melissa virus that company of-
ficials said they believe is even more dangerous than its predecessor. Dub-
bed Papa, the new virus is an Excel virus that sends itself in the same man-
ner as Melissa, but sends itself to the first 60 people in a user's address
book compared to 50 with Melissa. In addition, Papa sends an e-mail out eve-
ry time the virus is activated. Melissa only sends the message the first

are suing Japanese gov't for violating their rights by segregating them
from society. Japan didn't stop placing sufferers of Hansen's Disease, also
known as leprosy, into remote colonies until 1996. The gov't apologized that
year for its belated action to bring leprosy sufferers back into society.

*** Mars probe deploys antenna. PASADENA, CA. (AP) The Mars Global Surveyor
has successfully unfolded its high-gain antenna that had been retracted
against the spacecraft's body since it was launched in November 1996. "The
antenna is deployed and we just got telemetry - everything looks like it's
working perfectly," a JPL spokeswoman said. In the deployed position, the
dish-shaped antenna can move on gimbals to transmit data to Earth and
receive commands while the spacecraft's instruments continuously map the
