Dear Listers:
Attached is Dr. Byrd's response to my questions about my
physical reaction to the new EMscope. It verifies one of
my theories regarding why TIs sometimes still have a
continuous reaction to pulsing even though the pulsing is
only intermittent.

Your concern about the EM device is a legitimate concern and is totally
within the realm of science to address.
My guess is that the device is perfectly shielded vs x-ray radiation.
It
has been long known how to do that, and when it was discovered that
children
sitting near TV's years ago were coming down with radiation poisoning, a
fix
was implimented and neither TV's or EM Microscopes radiate x-rays.
HOWEVER,
the 0.4Hz +/- 0.1Hz you mentioned will go through ANYTHING. Also,
electrostatic fields will go through anything unless the shields are
properly grounded. My guess is the shields in the device are probably
ok,
although they should be checked. There is no scientific literature that
indicates seismic frequency fields are harmful, but a few of us know
better.
The problem is that the establishment will not allow any scientific info
that seems too far out to be published until those in charge die. The
"I
wouldn't believe in this even if it were true" syndrome.
Specifically, the source of your problem could be either the elf voltage
of
0.4Hz or the elf from the power supply. How far away are you? You need
at
least 7 feet of space between you and "it" (the intensity of magnetic
fields
rolls off as the cube of the distance). However, effects have been
noted at
intensities of 1/1,000,000 of a Gauss. You may be allergic to elf
magnetic
fields. One study showed (U of Texas) that the same percentage of
people
that are allergic to pollen, etc, are allergic to elf magnetic fields.
Yes,
the constant stress to your system can affect the immune system. Ask to
be
moved and suggest they turn your little office into a broom closet.
There
is a MOUNTAIN of evidence that elf mag fields may cause health problems
(Dr.
Andrew Mirchrowski in Ottawa can supply you with huge bibliographies).
More specifically, when they checked the unit for radiation, did they
use a
magnetometer? Only a magnetometer configured to detect elf (below
300Hz)
fields will show up signals below 300 Hz. There is a small hand held
device
called an Electro-something that will detect and measure low frequency
fields--it costs about $39 and works well. The Tri-Field Meter is a
good
piece of gear and it will measure not only low frequency magnetic fields
(it
is low frequency magnetic and high frequency electric fields that cause
the
problems, because the high frequency magnetic and low frequency electric
fields will not penetrate the body),
but also electric fields. It costs about $150.
Turning on the machine may be to you as handing someone a rose who is
allergic to roses.
More specifically, you did not have symptoms from the Zeiss, because you
were more than 7 feet away (7 feet is a ball-park number--it is the
distance
at which I cannot measure elf from a microwave oven with my
($1200)magnetometer--the ovens are tested for MICROWAVE radiation, but
leak
elf like a seive).
Good luck. I fought the US and Canadian Goverments for years over the
possibility that elf magnetic fields could cause health problems, and it
has
only been recently that the US Gov has finally agreed.
