David Rockefeller on parade - satire ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Intro to the site This site is an outlet for my raw research on hidden cultural and economic power. I have written the odd article here and there where I can see the material needs some kind of interprative 'lead-in' to be accessible. The idea of a 'power elite' is familiar to most sociology students but I have developed the work of C Wright Mills (who wrote a book in the fifties with that title) to go into detail on several powerful clandestine groups. There is some deliberate confusion about the real influence of the elite which makes it easier for the skeptic to dismiss them. But once one starts uncovering hard facts a consistent and more solid picture emerges. The potential abuse of power by these groups is almost too nightmarish to contemplate, so we might be forgiven for not wishing to delve further. It is one thing to speculate in general terms about the Bilderbergers and the Council on Foreign Relations etc. but when specific individuals, specific policies, specific dates and specific venues are there in black and white they become more real and more frightening. I am concerned about anything that smacks of totalitarianism. Ever since I was a teenager I found the whole idea of war and state terrorism more difficult to justify simply in terms of human nature. I came to understand, over the years, that there is a small proportion of mankind for whom war, oppression and slavery are not just an economic necessity but a positive benefit to their wealth and power. These individuals, that literally feed on broken human spirits and spilt human blood, I felt, and still feel, duty bound to identify. One small step towards shaming them into desisting from the inhuman and detached scheming for ever more unaccountable power. My calls for more openness from these elite forums are based on the public's 'right to know' what is being planned at closed meetings of the most wealthy and powerful people in the world. When the future of mankind is by no means guaranteed knowledge of what goes on at these meetings moves from being driven by curiosity to necessity. I am particularly worried by the contempt with which the 'power elite' seem to hold democracy and us ordinary people. This coupled with such immense economic power quite rightly leads one to question motives and plans. I think I have been pretty scrupulous in avoiding undue speculation. I am not interested or concerned with 'conspiracy theory' just 'conspiracy fact'. It is the facts behind very real groups like the Bilderbergers, the Skull and Bones and the Council on Foreign Relations that must be known before we can be clear they are not working directly against the benefit of mankind. I am a Quaker Christian with the knowledge that these groups could be tied in with the biblical end-time prophecies mentioned on my homepage. You can hardly be blamed if you are confused by the whole thing, and the size of this site.
