Well as I posted to Chris, my piece was not intended as a serious piece meant
to convey serious thought on the issue, but was meant as a propaganda piece
designed to evoke reactions of an extreme nature. The story was all about
absolutes and black and white issues but real life is all about shades of
gray. The reactions the piece got from some people amply illustrated the
effect of good propaganda (good in the sense of evocative) on otherwise quite
rational people. Chris is a rational thoughtful person and he was drawn into
the maelstrom rather easily. How easily are we led everyday by the nuances of
media? How often are our thoughts subverted without our even realizing it?
Mind you I include myself in this as well.
