One thing I have observed and felt myself, people do not come to the aid
of their country until they are personally hurt in some way.
What will all the Yuppies do if Wall Streets drops to a degree where
they might feel what some of the older generation felt during the big
Depression.
Herbert Hoover was the dirties word you can say in those days, and it
took many, many years for the Republican Party to live that
down.....plus, there was something about him turning guns on Veterans
who had come to protest in Washington......that is something I remember
my mother talking about, and she hated Hoover as much as she did
Lincoln.
