The point is he was not a presumed threat to Israel – so are you saying the Mossad is supposed to be part of the US intelligence system? I thought you would think that that would be a bad thing, given what you usually say here.
As to Netanyahu – he is a right wing hawk, who only seems like less of an asshole than he is because he stands beside the uber asshole Sharon.
As for your last question let me ask you– if everything else in the region was the same, except there was a Palestinian state in the west bank, would Osama still have attacked?
I’m pretty sure he would have. If you also think the answer is yes, then Israel becomes a minor point in his attack – a good bit of political theater to sell his viewpoint, but not the issue at hand. Which it is not.
