March 3.. 03/03/03.."333"

Hi friends,

While ever watchful of our un-elected "chief"' & his cronies work
u.s. through the media spins..Cathy & I now are back home & working
as many hours in the day to complete our second and last book
detailing what exactly happened to us, privately & publicly since
that day on February 8th 1988. The following is an observation worth
mentioning since the media CANNOT touch it until the fateful day of
03/03/03.

Whenever anyone "predicts" a date in the future for something of
earth changing importance to happen they are usually either
privileged insiders or.. just a bit delusional, and may be setting
what credibility they have up for a fall. This is NOT my intent here,
nor have I ever been clinically adjudged as delusional..though here
goes a prediction based on decades of past personal experience with
our Secret Government's time table, which, by all indications past &
present is securely & secretly founded on the ancient mystic's
Kabbalah/Kabala numerology system. Only Nancy Reagan ever publicly
admitted to her beliefs in this ancient so called science of mystic
beliefs.

PREDICTION:

THE US GOVERNMENT WILL ON 03/03/03 DECLARE WAR ON THE PEOPLES OF IRAQ
AND/OR LAUNCH THE FIRST MILITARY STRIKE.

I could go a little further out on the proverbial limb and predict
the exact time of the day, there on the 33rd Parallel , Baghdad time
( NOT US EDT) though that is a bit risky since so many variables -
like local weather changes could come into play.

Signed, "Mark" Phillips
February 18th (CDT), 2003

Well, now that I have risked my credibility with some of you - if I
am mistaken then say so on March 4th 2003! Whereas if I am correct..
then just file it away in memory until you read our last book. Some
of this seemingly bizarre "mystic science" the Secret Government
apparently adheres 'religiously' too will be covered in detail from
our own experiences with these pathetic control freaks. And some of
it I do not understand whatsoever!

This is not a publicity stunt..it is, however strange to some of you,
rather it is the result of a personal observation based squarely on
verifiable experiences & historical facts and information gleaned
just today from a couple of phone conversations with "Beltway
Insiders" . I feel confident in making such a prediction. Some of
which will be covered in our last book..so those who are reading this
now..please don't email us back now asking to explain the details of
how we know what we know. We do not have the spare time now. Those
will be in our book..soon! Stay tuned. And..remember, for so long as
your thoughts remain free - you heard this first from us.

Thanks.

With Respect,
Mark & Cathy

P.S. If I am right.. then maybe you will tell someone else who told
you - AND pay special attention to what happens on June the sixth two
thousand and six.

We will.

Liberal-leaning radio network planned
By WILL LESTER

Feb. 18, 2003 | WASHINGTON (AP) -- A group planning a liberal-
leaning radio network says the idea hasn't caught on in previous
attempts because it wasn't marketed properly and wasn't entertaining
enough.

Now venture capitalists from Chicago and an Atlanta radio executive
are behind an effort to start just such a radio network that would
offer an alternative to conservative talk show hosts like Rush
Limbaugh.

"We believe this is a tremendous business opportunity," Atlanta radio
executive Jon Sinton said Monday. Sinton, who would be the network's
chief executive, added, "There are so many right-wing talk shows, we
think it's created a hole in the market you could drive a truck
through."

The group, led by Anita Drobny, consists of investors who have
financially supported Democratic candidates. Hoping to start the
network by this fall, they are talking with comedian and author Al
Franken about working with the network and hope to attract other
entertainers and political guests.

Their group will be called AnShell Media L.L.C. and they are
initially investing $10 million while hoping for assistance from like-
minded entrepreneurs.

Sinton said those who lean to the right are great at haranguing Bill
and Hillary Clinton, but those who lean left have better connections
to the entertainment world in Hollywood and New York.

"We want to take an issue and make it funny and engaging," he
said. "Our intent is to engage and entertain as a way to enlighten,
engage in skit comedy, parody, political satire."

Sinton said earlier programs have failed because they were placed in
time slots between more conservative programming and weren't
entertaining enough. Former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo also tried his
hand at a liberal-oriented talk show.

Sinton said he's confident he can come up with solid content for his
network.

"My business strategy is that there are underperforming radio
stations in all the markets. These underperforming stations are
looking for a compelling broadcast day," he said.

While questions have been raised about who could be host on a liberal
talk show, the bigger question may be the difficulty of mobilizing an
audience for such a show.

A sign of the liberal dilemma is the code word that they like to use
to describe themselves these days - "progressive" - which allows them
to avoid the word "liberal," which has become almost an epithet when
used by conservative politicians and pundits.

"Part of the impetus for this angry conservative bent of talk radio
is the notion that the press is unfair, that it's part of a liberal
establishment conspiracy," said Tom Rosenstiel, director for the
Project for Excellence in Journalism.

"Progressives historically don't run in a pack," Rosenstiel
added. "There's a kind of independent streak to the left wing in
America that there isn't in the right wing."

Communications specialist Kathleen Hall Jamieson, who was involved in
a study of talk radio in the mid 1990s, said the conservative radio
audience is easier to mobilize because it is more likely to see
liberals as very distant from their own views. And there are more
people in polls who identify themselves as conservative than identify
themselves as liberal.

"The search for the liberal equivalent of Rush Limbaugh may be
misunderstanding how Limbaugh starts from a natural advantage," said
Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the
University of Pennsylvania. "His audience is already polarized. The
liberals don't need a host, they need a different audience."

ACTION ALERT:
GE, Microsoft Bring Bigotry to Life
Hate-talk host Michael Savage hired by MSNBC
February 12, 2003

The latest hire by the cable news network MSNBC-- co-owned by General
Electric/NBC and Microsoft-- is Michael Savage, a radio talkshow host
noted for his unabashed bigotry. Savage is scheduled to have his own
weekly one-hour show on MSNBC beginning in March.

Savage routinely refers to non-white countries as "turd world
nations" and charges that the U.S. "is being taken over by the
freaks, the cripples, the perverts and the mental defectives" (San
Francisco Bay Guardian, 9/20/00). In a recent broadcast he justified
ethnic slurs as a national security tool: "We need racist stereotypes
right now of our enemy in order to encourage our warriors to kill the
enemy," he explained (San Francisco Chronicle, 2/6/03).

"Turd world" immigrants are a frequent target of Savage's anger: "You
open the door to them, and the next thing you know, they are
defecating on your country and breeding out of control" (Oregonian,
4/24/02).

At times Savage's arguments echo the conspiratorial scapegoating of
the white supremacist movement: "With the [Latino] population that
has emerged, since they breed like rabbits, in many cases the whites
will become a minority in their own nation... The white people don't
breed as often for whatever reason. I guess many homosexuals are
involved. That is also part of the grand plan, to push homosexuality
to cut down on the white race" (San Francisco Bay Guardian, 9/20/00).

Commenting on the "Million Mom March" in favor of gun control (which
he dubbed the "Million Dyke March"), he dismissed organizers'
reference to American children killed by guns (5/15/00): "They're not
kids, they're ghetto slime... they're the same kids that are in
Sierra Leone toting AK47s."

Misogyny and homophobia are staples of Savage's show as well as
racism. In his book Savage Nation, he argues that Sen. Hillary
Clinton and Supreme Court justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sandra Day
O'Connor have "feminized and homosexualized much of America, to the
point where the nation has become passive, receptive and
masochistic."

Discussing student volunteers distributing food to the homeless in
San Francisco, Savage declared that "the girls from Branson [school]
can go in and maybe get raped... because they seem to like the
excitement of it. There's always the thrill and possibility they'll
be raped in a dumpster while giving out a turkey sandwich" (San
Francisco Bay Guardian, 9/20/00).

In announcing the hire, MSNBC president Erik Sorenson described
Savage as "brash, passionate and smart," and promised that he would
provide "compelling opinion and analysis with an edge."

A recent episode of the channel's Donahue program (2/10/03) featured
a full-hour, one-on-one interview with white supremacist Jared
Taylor. Does MSNBC believe that promoting hatred is a way for the
struggling channel to build an audience?

Savage family values

DARTANYAN BROWN, director of instructional technology at the Branson
School in Marin, used to make a practice of monitoring hate radio.
But nothing prepared Brown for what he heard driving home from school
while listening to KSFO-AM's Michael Savage one day last September.

Savage was discussing his proposal to round up and incarcerate the
Bay Area's homeless when he made reference to a program at Branson
through which students volunteer to distribute sandwiches to the
homeless in San Francisco.

"You can get the kids from Marin to go in there with them at night,"
Savage said during the Sept. 21 broadcast. "The girls from Branson
can go in and maybe get raped ... because they seem to like the
excitement of it. There's always the thrill and possibility they'll
be raped in a Dumpster while giving out a turkey sandwich."

Branson was furious and demanded an apology. KSFO general manager
Michael Luckoff, who oversees all of Disney's S.F. radio stations,
told us he didn't care for the way Savage expressed his opinion, but
he defended the comment: "[Savage] had reason to believe this was a
dangerous situation to put young people into and didn't think it was
a wise idea, and that was the premise for his comments," Luckoff told
us. But this was no slip of the tongue. During another show,
according to an item in the San Jose Mercury News, Savage referred to
the Branson girls as "fresh white nookie."

Luckoff apologized to the school, but Savage himself has yet to
apologize, and he declined to be interviewed for this story.

Here are some more quotes from the guy who claims to have coined the
phrase "compassionate conservative." Except where noted, they were
taken directly from radio broadcasts during the period of Sept. 6
through Sept. 15.

On women "I'm beginning to think that women should be denied the
vote. Their hormones rage; they are too emotional." (as quoted in San
Jose Mercury News, Nov. 6, 1998)

On whites no longer being the majority in California "Now the
liberals are celebrating, of course. They will soon find out they
will be shoved aside so that the power can be taken by the Asians and
the Hispanics."

On how this happened "With the population that has emerged, since
they [Hispanics] breed like rabbits, in many cases the whites will
become a minority in their own nation.... the white people don't
breed as often for whatever reason. I guess many homosexuals are
involved. That is also part of the grand plan, to push homosexuality
to cut down on the white race."

On who's taking over "The nation is being taken over by the freaks,
the cripples, the perverts, and the mental defectives."

On Bobby Knight and Wen Ho Lee "[Coaching is] the last bastion of the
white heterosexual male ... and we need men like Bobby Knight that
made America great. If we had a Bobby Knight in the Justice
Department, we would know where the hard drives are, and instead of
Wen Ho Lee going 'ho ho ho,' Wen Ho Lee would be going sizzle,
sizzle, sizzle."

On gay parenting "Fat lesbians are anti-family." (S.F. Examiner, Jan.
8, 1996)

On gays "Gays bore the hell out of me. They're the least important
members of our society."

On the gay-rights movement "I'm not going to roll over to the pink
swastika; I will not bow down to the pink swastika."

Bolivia and Argentina in flames--IMF to blame
2/20/03
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bolivia is in flames, its economy shot dead. And I've got my hands on
the murder weapon, the same one that killed Argentina's economy:
the "Country Assistance Strategies" of the World Bank and
International Monetary Fund (IMF). They are marked confidential. How
I got them-well, that's not important. But this is-from this month's
Harper's Magazine, my expos of a batch of these secretive plans for
the seizure, control and ultimate ruin of the nations the IMF
supposedly seeks to save. Resolved to Ruin, by Greg Palast, Harper's
Magazine, March 2003.

Green-haired protesters in the streets of Seattle were ridiculed for
their belief that the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund,
and the world's finance ministers enter into secret agreements to
impoverish developing nations.

See the March edition of Harper's Magazine for the complete annotated
document, based on Chapter 4 of the new US edition of The Best
Democracy Money Can Buy, out February 25th from Plume/Penguin.

Here, in fact, is one such agreement: Argentina's "Country Assistance
Strategy Progress Report" from June 2001. This document, nominally
produced by the World Bank, represents the interlocking directives of
both the Bank and the IMF, as well as, indirectly, the wishes of both
institutions' largest patron, the United States Treasury Department.
Marked "Confidential" or "Official Use Only," these reports are
seldom publicized to the citizenry bound up in their stipulations.
And yet for the 100-plus that rely on IMF and World Bank loans-
countries such as Argentina, Tanzania, Ecuador, Sierra Leone-such
agreements serve as de facto legislation, meticulous in detail and
ideological in thrust. Although couched as loan conditions or as
helpful development advice, these reports more closely resemble the
minutes of a financial coup d'etat....

To reduce its deficit per IMF decree, Argentina had cut $3 billion
from government spending-a cut that was necessary, the authors note
here, to "accomodat[e] the increase in interest obligations." These
obligations, the report did not need to add, were largely to foreign
creditors, including the IMF and World Bank themselves. Since 1994,
in fact, Argentina's budget deficits had been entirely attributable
to interest payments on foreign loans. Excluding such payments,
spending had remained constant at 19 percent of GDP. Despite the
visible harm caused by cuts, the new plan ordered more. This, the
report promised, would "greatly improve the outlook for the remainder
of 2001 and 2002, with growth expected to recover in the later half
of 2001." The Bank was slightly off the mark. By December 2001,
Buenos Aires' middle class, unaccustomed to hunting the streets for
garbage to eat, joined the poor in mass demonstrations.

How had Argentina arrived at such an impasse? In the 1990s the nation
was the poster child for globalization, having followed without
question the IMF and World Bank program. The "reform" plan for
Argentina, as for every nation, has four steps. The first of these,
capital market liberalization, was achieved by 1991's "Convertibility
Plan," which pegged the Argentine peso in a one-to-one relationship
with the U.S. dollar. This peg was designed both to keep inflation
low and to make deficit spending difficult, in hopes of attracting
and comforting foreign investors. Liberalized markets free capital to
flow in and out across borders. But once Argentina's economy began to
wobble, money simply flowed out....

The second step in the IMF/World Bank regimen is privatization. Both
at the urging of lenders and out of financial necessity, Argentina
throughout the nineties sold off what Argentines now ruefully
call "las joyas de mi abuela," grandmother's jewels: the state's oil,
gas, water, and electric companies and the state banks. It was quite
a fire sale. Vivendi of France won rural water systems; Enron of
Texas the pipes of Buenos Aires; Fleet of Boston took the provincial
banks....

In 1994, at the World Bank's urging, Argentina partially privatized
even its social security system, diverting much of it into private
accounts. The U.S.-based Center for Economic and Policy Research
calculated the revenue loss from this decision alone to be almost
equal to the nation's budget deficit during the period.

The third prong of the laissez-faire putsch is market-based pricing.
In Argentina, the main target of this initiative has been labor, that
most inflexible of commodities. "A major advance was made to
eliminate outdated labor contracts," states this report, noting
approvingly that "labor costs" (i.e., wages) had fallen due to "labor
market flexibility induced by the de facto liberalization of the
market via increased informality." Translation: workers who lost
unionized jobs were forced into ad hoc arrangements, with far less
protection. Here, the report asks the government to decentralize
collective bargaining, a move that would reduce union power.

Far from achieving this goal of "unemployment in single digits," the
World Bank and IMF saw the jobless figure in the Buenos Aires area
rise from 17 percent to a staggering 22 percent in the year after the
report's issuance. The violence and looting that rocked that rocked
the city in December 2001 thus represents a stage in the "austerity"
process that Stiglitz terms the "IMF riot." When a nation, he
said, "is down and out, [the IMF] takes advantage and squeezes the
last pound of blood out of them. They turn up the heat until,
finally, the whole cauldron blows up."....

Step four of the IMF/World Bank program is free trade. The loan terms
of the two institutions had required Argentina to accept "an open
trade policy." As recession set in, Argentina's exporters-whose
products were effectively priced, via the peg, in U.S. dollars-were
forced into a spectacularly unequal competition against Brazilian
goods priced in that nation's devalued currency. Argentina grows a
special kind of long-grain rice favored by Brazilians, and yet even
as Brazil faced a hunger crisis tons of rice went unsold....

Before 1980, when the World Bank and IMF set out to rearrange the
economies of developing nations, nearly all of them adhered to
Keynesianism or socialism. Following the "import-substitution model,"
they build locally owned industry through government investment,
behind a protective wall of tariffs and capital controls. In those
supposed economic dark ages, spanning roughly from 1960 to 1980, per-
capita in-come grew by 73 percent in Latin America and by 34 percent
in Africa. By comparison, since 1980, Latin American income growth
has slowed to a virtual halt-to less than 6 percent over twenty years-
while African incomes have declined by 23 percent. The IMF itself, in
a statement accompanying its April 2000 "World Economic Outlook"
report, noted that "in recent decades, too many countries, and nearly
one-fifth of the world population, have regressed This is arguably
one of the greatest economic failures of the 20th Century." On this,
at least, the IMF had it right.

Patriot Act, the sequel

Tuesday, February 11, 2003
2003 San Francisco Chronicle
http://www.sfgate.com

SOMEONE IN the Justice Department clearly wants to preserve our most
cherished civil liberties.

Last week, that individual leaked a bill secretly drafted by Attorney
General John Ashcroft's staff to the Center for Public
Integrity. "The Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003," is a
chilling sequel to the USA Patriot Act, passed shortly after Sept.11,
2001. It's already been dubbed "Patriot Act II."

The draft legislation would reduce judicial oversight of
surveillance, authorize secret arrests, create new death penalties
and allow the government to revoke the citizenship of any American
who is a member of -- or gives material support to -- a group
designated as a "terrorist organization" by Ashcroft.

Charles Lewis, executive director of the Center for Public Integrity,
speculates that the Bush administration may have planned to introduce
this legislation after another terrorist attack or in the middle of a
war with Iraq.

Congress, moreover, was not consulted. Ashcroft's office only sent
copies to House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Vice President Dick Cheney
on Jan. 10, 2003.

Secret arrests? Expatriation because you belong to a suspicious
political group? Unchecked surveillance? These are instruments of
repression, used by totalitarian states. They are why American
soldiers have fought -- and died -- in wars against fascism and
communism.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., warned that "Patriot Act II" amounts
to "little more than the institution of a police state." We call upon
our congressional delegation, as well as Sens. Dianne Feinstein and
Barbara Boxer, to vigorously challenge any such attempt to undermine
constitutional rights.
