--- Begin Message ----Caveat Lector- Please read this in conjunction with my last post.Last night I was served to appear in an $11 million libel case for my associating Michael J. Peloquin with Meyer Lansky. When I was contacted by the daughter of Michael Peliquin and informed that her father was not the son of Robert Pelequin I made the changes below that seemed to satisfy her. The meat of this article is that Peloguin purchased the property that he later sold to Keating for over $3 million for a paltry $550,000 just 8 months before. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. No one would make such a purchase when it is public record what the property was last sold for. I have that from the deeds obtained from the title company. That is rock solid. Now recall what was said about Max Fisher who sold UNITED BRANDS to Keating. Now look at what Keating did next. His next purchase was 10 times what it was last sold for!! I spent half a day in depositions with 3 RTC attorneys who took copious notes and copied a pile 5 inches thick of documents who then did nothing. They knew not to step on big toes. I worked on this story with the Pulitzer Prize winning writer Tom Fitzpatrick who published the same facts a week before my article was published. I have been fighting these epic battles for 30 years. I have seen little evidence that others care. In my counter suit how much should I sue for harassment?
