Congratulations to the CTV interviewee the other day who coined that
expression. Discovery's guest shrink gave an analysis of Saddam Hussein
last night. Let me counter with an analyis of Shrub (Junior Bush).
Shrub is suffering from a classic Oedipus complex. He lusts after momma
Bush and the the "evil-doer Saddam" substitutes for Bush senior in this
unresolved complex. In his fantasies, Shrub sees himself doing-in the
evil-doer Saddam so that he will have unrestricted sexual access to momma.
In that sense Shrub is not a "bastard" so much as Carolyn Parrish, MP
would say, as a mother f****r.
It would be crediting his poor use of the English language too much to say
he is deploying Orwellian newspeak. He is, as another great Canadian
political analyst has said, a moron. The compound problems of Oedipus
Moron can be called a complex or syndrome. Shrub Syndrome is also
manifested in obsequious grovelling at the feet of the U-S-A puppet
masters, but that has been going on states-side since Trotsky left New
York to land in a Canadian jail cell in 1917. Long live the "True North,
Strong and Free!" and "Vive le Quebec libre!".
Shrub suffers from obsessive-compulsiveness. He is obsessed with Saddam as
much as Elmer Fudd is obsessed with the wascally wabbit. Shrub is a
compulsive liar. There is no need to pursue war to bring about peace in
Iraq and the region. As General Allaire said in an Ottawa Citizen article
by Mike Blanchfield yesterday, WE ONLY NEED TO "SATURATE" IRAQ WITH UN
PERSONNEL. Shrub's lie would have an unpredictable war process used in
lieu of a certain and predictable peace process. Look at Palestine by
comparison. Did the militarism of the Trotskyite invasion of the land of
the Palestinians bring peace? No, it has brought 50 years of war.
And that may very well be what Shrub Syndrome is going to give the
WORLD...not just the Gulf Region.
