-Caveat Lector- And some more number crunching... Ugh!
Thinking like a Bald Eagle. - The Great Seal The Bald Eagle is found only in America and the adult birds are strikingly marked, and can't be mistaken for a Golden Eagle, for the adult Golden Eagles are an overall dark brown, with golden feathers on the head and neck, whereas adult Bald Eagles have a rather white head and tail that contrasts to its dark-brown body. Both eagles are the same size, about thirteen pounds for a female and ten for a male, with wingspans up to seven and a half feet. The eagle, and not the Bald Eagle, and probably based on the Golden Eagle, has a long history of use as a symbol of power in the Ancient World. In fact it was more than 5,000 years ago, that the Sumerian city of Lagash worshipped the eagle as a divinity. And in Roman mythology, Jupiter, king of the gods, was symbolized by an eagle clutching thunderbolts in its talons. Rome's powerful legions marched with standards bearing the outline of an eagle. Later the German emperors adopted the eagle as a symbol of the imperial might, and the eagle was also used on the Russian and Austrian coats of arms. Was it this military symbol that made the designer of the Great Seal, Charles Thompson, choose not the Golden Eagle, but the Bald Eagle, for the United States' symbol? Thus the so called Old World had its Golden Eagle, whereas the New World Republic its Bald Eagle, and the incubation period for the former is 44 days and the latter 35 days. In 1776 Benjamin Franklin was close to 71 years, and he had already achieved considerable renown as a publisher, essayist, educator, inventor, scientist, statesman, a man much liked across the Atlantic in Paris. And soon after the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th 1776, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson had been chosen by the Second Continental Congress to 'be a committee, to bring in a device for a seal for the United States of America'. The so called Franklin Committee, had come up with a design for a seal with a coat of arms on one side and on the other side it depicted the Israelites escaping from Egypt and the pursuing Pharaoh on the other and the motto was 'Rebellion to Tyrants Is Obedience to God'. The having of a Great Seal was rather set aside, and later the first design was rejected but a second committee formed in 1780 did not offer anything acceptable and then in1782 a Charles Thompson, Secretary of Congress, was asked to resolve the design problem. Thompson's sketch wasn't completely original for the centerpiece of the seal, Thompson used an idea contributed some time before by William Barton, a Philadelphia man who combined a knowledge of heraldry with an ability to draw. He had submitted to Congress a drawing of a small, heraldic-looking eagle and Thompson liked the eagle, and he made it the object of his design, but he specified that the bird be 'An American Eagle', a Bald Eagle. Thompson or rather the artist William Barton, went on to draw the 'American Eagle' clutching an olive branch, the symbol of Peace, and a bundle of arrows, a symbol of war. And the other elements came from the second committee's work, along with the thirteen stars and thirteen stripes that appear on the shield in front of the eagle. Thompson also retained some elements from the Franklin Committee's design, the shield, a scroll, the eye of Providence and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum" (One out of many). Congress was enthusiastic about the Thompson-Barton design, and on June 20th 1782, they adopted it as the United States' official seal. The drawing was immediately engraved in brass, a design to used both as a seal and as a national coat of arms. Later in the year 1782, the seal was used for the first time on a Congressional document which gave General George Washington the necessary power to negotiate with the British over the care of prisoners. But the design of the Great Seal of the United States, a Seal of the New World Order, did not impress Benjamin Franklin, with its Bald Eagle in the design. And Franklin said that if the United States were to have a national bird, it should be the wild turkey. He wrote, "For my part, I wish the bald eagle had not been chosen as the representative of our country; he is a bird of bad moral character; he does not get his living honestly...like those among men who live by sharping and robbing, he is generally poor, and often very lousy. Besides, he is a rank coward...." So the Bald Eagle represents the character of a Thief, who can be a coward. And a Thief who will also eat carrion and bullies smaller birds. And the words - 'thief, coward, bully' are negative, whereas the Bald Eagle has positive attributes, like being a bird of opportunity, a bird perfectly designed for taking prey ranging from fish to waterfowl to small mammals. And if his food has already been killed for him, so much the better. Now the behavior of the Bald Eagle is rather of negative, when say he sees a smaller bird, like an osprey, with a fish, for the Bald Eagle will unhesitatingly force the fish hawk to drop it so snatching it up in midair. Then the Bald Eagle proceeds to a nearby perch, where he will eat the stolen meal entirely untroubled by conscience. The Bald Eagle is, quite simply, concerned with surviving and he is totally unconcerned with how he appears to others. So the Bald Eagle, was chosen for the symbol of the United States, despites of Benjamin Franklin's criticism of its morals, for it is rather majestic, heraldic, adaptable, tough and a survivor, so the Bald Eagle is rather suitable as the national symbol. And so to finish with the number reference for the United States which I suggest is 231, that of the Plumed Serpent, that of falcon masked Ancient Egyptian god Horus, the merciless killer of sky at 61 + the Serpent at 170 is 231. In fact the United States uses the old English 'Winchester gallon' at 231 cubic inches, (and 231 feet is the width across the transepts of Winchester Cathedral). And it seems as if the acceptable incubation period of the Bald Eagle is 35 days, whereas the Golden Eagle is 44 days. And 440 x 440 cubits is the base of the Great Pyramid, the symbol of Death. And 35 days is 840 hours x 1.5 is 126, the spirit in humanity. Now the Bald Eagle at 35 days x the Golden Eagle at 44 days x 0.15 is 231, so thanks to the Golden Eagle, is seen the Plumed Serpent. This coming together of two items is common in the quest for reference number results, for example light velocity at 186,282.4654 miles per second in a vacuum less the speed of Gravity at 177,000 miles per second, is 9282.4654 and multiplied by the mind, that is the frog, at 156.75 x the spirit man at 12.6 x 12.6 at 158.76 is the Plumed Serpent at 231,000,000. (the mind is the energy value of the brain 498.95kcal per pound x Pi is 1,567.5 - and the mind, the frog, is the original fleur de lis design, whereas 126 is the spirit man, the Eye of Horus or the Eye of God). So Light less Darkness x the frog x the spirit, reveals the Plumed Serpent at 231, (so frogs and the Republics are linked), the god of America. www.ctrl.org DECLARATION & DISCLAIMER ========== CTRL is a discussion & informational exchange list.
