Perle's resignation as chairman of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board is bound to be blamed on his dubious business dealings involving Adnan Khashoggi and a mysterious "homeland security" outfit d.b.a. Trireme Partners. But the failure of Perle's policy, and the subsequent collapse of the military strategy that evolved out of it, is reason enough to have tossed him out on his ear.
Perle is a rotten crook, but apparently George likes him. Perle has given up only one of his unpaid (well no salary) jobs. He's still going strong, and since Israel loves him, he will come out of it all very well. The Bush administration doesn't punish stupidity. Prudy
